Features
The BU240 CCTV power supply box is a centralized 12V DC power distribution unit designed for multi-camera surveillance installations requiring backup power capability. The unit incorporates a 250W switching power supply that converts 100–240V AC mains input into regulated 12V DC output suitable for powering CCTV cameras and other 12V security equipment.
The system provides a total output capacity of 20A distributed across 16 individual output channels. Each channel includes dedicated fuse protection to isolate faults and help prevent a single device failure from affecting the remaining connected cameras. LED indicators provide visual confirmation of power status and output activity, allowing installers to quickly identify operational conditions during installation or maintenance.
A built-in battery charging circuit supports connection of a 12V sealed lead-acid backup battery. In the event of mains power failure, the system automatically switches to battery operation, maintaining continuous power to connected CCTV cameras. This makes the unit suitable for security installations where uninterrupted surveillance is required.
The power supply is housed in a lockable metal enclosure designed for wall-mounted installation in equipment rooms, security cabinets, or structured cabling environments. Internal terminal blocks allow organized wiring for camera power distribution and battery connection.
This type of power distribution unit is commonly used in analog CCTV, HD-TVI, AHD, and CVI camera systems that require centralized 12V DC power management with backup capability.
