Features
This CCTV high-gain microphone module is designed to add audio capture capability to video surveillance systems. The module integrates a sensitive electret microphone with a built-in audio amplification circuit, enabling it to capture environmental sound and transmit the signal to compatible recording equipment.
The unit provides an analogue audio output via a standard RCA connector, allowing connection to DVR or NVR devices that support external audio input channels. It is typically installed alongside CCTV cameras to record ambient audio in monitored areas. The integrated amplifier increases microphone sensitivity, allowing the system to capture sound over a wider area compared to standard passive microphones.
Power is supplied using a 12V DC input through a standard 2.1mm DC jack, matching the common power supplies used in CCTV installations. This allows the microphone to share power infrastructure with cameras or auxiliary surveillance equipment.
The compact design allows the module to be installed inside junction boxes, camera housings, or equipment cabinets. Typical deployment locations include entrances, retail counters, offices, warehouses, and other monitored indoor or sheltered outdoor environments where audio monitoring is required alongside video surveillance.
The device is compatible with most analogue CCTV DVR systems and hybrid recorders equipped with RCA audio input channels. Proper placement away from strong airflow or vibration sources is recommended to achieve optimal audio recording quality.
