Features
The RJ45-CAT6-1M-REEL-BLACK-23AWG is a premium outdoor-rated CAT6 U/UTP Ethernet cable featuring 23AWG solid bare copper conductors optimised for high-performance data networks including IP CCTV backbones and PoE-powered security devices. The 4-pair unshielded twisted pair construction meets and exceeds ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 Category 6 specifications, supporting 10GBase-T Ethernet up to 55m, 1GBase-T to 100m, and Power over Ethernet up to IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 (90W+) without significant performance degradation. Black polyethylene (PE/LDPE) outer sheath provides UV resistance, moisture protection and mechanical durability for aerial catenary suspension, external ducting or direct facade mounting subject to local installation regulations.
At 23AWG conductor gauge, the cable delivers lower insertion loss and resistance compared to thinner 24-26AWG alternatives, ensuring stable Gigabit performance and PoE budget preservation over longer external runs typical between building network cabinets and field IP cameras or outdoor wireless access points. The high-density polyethylene (HDPE) insulation maintains pair geometry for optimal crosstalk rejection (NEXT/PSNEXT), while sequential metre marking facilitates accurate run length documentation during Fluke/DSX certification. Approximate 6.0-6.5mm overall diameter fits standard 20mm conduit and outdoor-rated RJ45 IP67 glands.
This 1m reel-cut length enables custom termination with precision CAT6 RJ45 plugs, keystone jacks or IDC patch panels for point-to-point links or structured cabling permanent links. Deployed alongside rack-mounted PoE switches, NVRs and external Cat6 patch leads, it forms compliant backbone infrastructure supporting 550MHz bandwidth for future-proof IP video, VoIP and access control convergence in professional security networks.
