Features
The DC Male Red & Black 15cm pigtail is the counterpart male connector to female DC barrel leads, providing a plug-and-play interface from 12V/24V power supply terminals to CCTV camera female jacks. Featuring a 5.5x2.1mm male barrel plug (centre positive polarity standard), it mates securely with pigtails on Hikvision, Dahua and generic analogue HD-TVI/AHD/CVI cameras. The 15cm length of 18-22AWG red/black wire delivers up to 2A without significant drop on short runs, supporting full IR activation loads from regulated multi-output PSUs in NVR racks or field enclosures.
In professional CCTV deployments, these male pigtails connect directly to screw-block outputs on central power units alongside Cat5e patch panels and PDUs, enabling parallel DC distribution independent of PoE video cabling. The compact plug dimensions fit behind dome/turret housings and junction boxes, while pre-stripped leads terminate via crimps, solder or screw-on barrel connectors—no splicing required for clean rack integration. Some variants feature built-in screw terminals for tool-free wire attachment (up to 24AWG), accelerating installs in multi-camera systems using siamese RG59/RG6 or 2-core flex feeds.
Rated IP20 for indoor/protected use (IP65+ enclosures outdoors), the assembly handles PSU startup surges and ripple on 32+ channel layouts. Paired with female extensions, it forms reliable male-to-female jumpers up to 1m for offset positioning, bridging legacy DC devices in mixed IP infrastructures. Bulk packs streamline commissioning alongside external Cat5e reels and rack accessories, ensuring polarity-safe power delivery without custom fabrication.
