Features
The DC Male Red & Black 50cm pigtail provides extended reach for connecting centralised 12V/24V DC power supplies to CCTV cameras via standard female barrel jacks. The 5.5x2.1mm male barrel plug (centre positive polarity) mates securely with camera pigtails or junction box outputs, while the 50cm length of 18AWG red/black wire delivers up to 5A continuous—ideal for full IR loads on bullet, dome or turret models from rack terminal blocks. This longer variant suits deeper enclosures or distributed power layouts where shorter 15-30cm leads fall short, maintaining flexibility for conduit alongside Cat5e backbone or RG6 siamese runs.
In professional security racks, these pigtails integrate with multi-output PSUs positioned near NVRs and patch panels, enabling parallel bus wiring independent of PoE Ethernet. Pre-stripped/tinned ends terminate cleanly into screw clamps, lever-nuts or crimps, accelerating field deployment without soldering. The strain-relieved barrel withstands repeated connections, and heavy-duty PVC jacketing ensures durability in IP65+ protected environments, handling PSU ripple and surges on 64-channel+ systems.
Paired with female counterparts, male 50cm pigtails form reliable DC extensions up to 2m for bridging offsets in soffit, wall or ceiling mounts. They support legacy analogue devices in mixed PoE/DC infrastructures, complementing external Cat5e reels, power baluns and rack PDUs. Bulk packs facilitate scalable power provisioning, ensuring polarity-safe delivery and minimal custom fabrication during system commissioning.
